Makomborero student awarded scholarship from Arizona State University

Makomborero is a UK-based charity which works to relieve poverty through education in Zimbabwe. NextEnergy Foundation has been supporting students through Makomborero’s flagship A-Level Programme since 2017.
An ex-Makomborero student, Ntombizodwa Makuyana, has recently been awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Arizona State University (USA) to pursue a PhD in biological science from Cambridge University (UK). Ntombizodwa completed her secondary school education thanks to the support of Makomborero, and was a Mastercard Foundation Scholar whilst undertaking her undergraduate degree in medicinal biochemistry in 2019 at the Arizona State University.
