Etifor Projects Advance Biodiversity and Community Engagement in Northern Italy
With support from the NextEnergy Foundation, Etifor has achieved key milestones in two nature-based projects launched in recent years. At Campo dei Fiori Regional Natural Park (started in 2022), restoration of forests and grasslands, chestnut grove maintenance, and sustainable water management are progressing steadily, with a third WOWNature planting event planned for autumn 2025. Meanwhile, in the Orobie Valtellinesi Park (started in 2023), the NextEnergy Foundation’s contribution supported the restoration on 7.6 hectares of forest to benefit endangered bird species. Trails have been redeveloped for environmental education, and community events continue to foster public engagement with biodiversity.
